John Cenaturned babyfacejust before SummerSlam as he ended a months-long run as a heel. While many people wondered why he changed in the first place, Cena has admitted that fan reaction led to his returning to being a babyface.
While speaking during the Clash in Paris post show, John Cena was asked if he was happy going back to being a babyface, the version of Cena fans know and love. He explained that his goal has always been to entertain the audience as best as possible, which sometimes means taking risks and making bold choices.
However, he pointed out that its also important to listen to the fans. He noted that during his matches against Randy Orton, CM Punk in Saudi Arabia, and Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam, the reactions shifted and the energy of the crowd made it clear that changes were needed.
John Cena said that while bold moves can be exciting, going against the energy of the audience is a losing battle, so its sometimes necessary to pivot and change direction.
John Cena also defeated Logan Paul at the Clash in Paris Premium Live Event. With Wrestlepalooza on the horizon, well have to see how WWE will book Cena in the coming weeks, as its clear the company will have big plans for Cena.
