The LPGA Tour's only stop in Canada is the CPKC Women's Open, scheduled for August 21-24 at the Mississaugua Golf & Country Club in Mississauga, Ontario, featuring Benedetta Moresco.
In a quality field, with six of the top ten in the Rolex Rankings, Lauren Coughlin (No. 14), a 32-year-old from Minneapolis, Minnesota, is defending the first of her two titles on the tour, both won last year.

The quartet at the top of the world rankings is attracting attention: Thailand's Jeeno Thitikul, Nelly Korda, New Zealand's Lydia Ko (hat-trick in the tournament, 2012, 2013, 2015) and Australia's Minjee Lee, all favourites together with Angel Yin (no. 7) and Korea's Haeran Ryu (no. 9). However, there will be other competitors capable of competing for the title, including the particularly motivated Canadian Brooke M. Henderson, determined to win on home soil, something she already did in 2018.

Four other past winners have a chance to repeat their success: Megan Khang (2023), Korea's Jin Young Ko (2019) and Sung Hyun Park (2017), and Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn (2016). Not to be forgotten are Lilia Vu, Jennifer Kupcho, Rose Zhang, England's Lottie Wood, Japan's Mao Saigo and Rio Takeda, Sweden's Maja Stark, and Australia's Hannah Green. And two more Japanese women, Chisato Iwai and Akie Iwai (hers at the previous Standard Portland Classic), won in 2025, emulating the feats of three other sisters who have also won on the tour: Jessica and Nelly Korda, Thailand's Ariya and Moriya Jutanugarn, and Sweden's Annika and Charlotta Sorenstam.
Benedetta Moresco, a 23-year-old from Vicenza, is coming off strong performances in her two previous outings (18th in the Standard Portland Classic and 21st in the ISPS HANDA Women's Scottish Open). The prize pool is $2,750,000, with first-place prize money of $375,000.

The first documents attesting to the existence of rules of golf date back to March 1744. The rules were produced for a competition to be held at a Scottish golf club, and contained 13 points in total.[3] Initially, writing the rules was the responsibility of each individual club and so they varied depending on where the game was played.
