Scott Steiner came dangerously close to death during a TNA Wrestling taping in March 2020and now, the man who saved his life is telling the full story.

During a recent episode of the Talkn Shop podcast with Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, Georgia deputy sheriff and wrestling promoter Chris Lazer Johnson detailed the harrowing moment when Steiner collapsed backstage at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta. Johnson, who co-owns Lariato Pro Wrestling with The Good Brothers, had just finished delivering the ring for the event when the emergency unfolded. Johnson recalled walking backstage to check on something when he spotted Steiner on the ground surrounded by concerned staff.

But Johnson immediately noticed something was seriously wrong.

As a first responder, Johnson understood that even in the absence of breathing, circulating blood could keep Steiner alive.

Another individual assisted him with CPR until paramedics arrived with a defibrillator.

Johnson admitted he didnt think Steiner would make it.

Doc Gallows confirmed the event and Steiners deep gratitude to Johnson.
