WWE: Unreal Season 2 is deep into production and the footage already captured is packed with real-life drama, awkward moments, and some serious behind-the-scenes tension.
According to insider Billi Bhatti on the Dirty Sheets Wrestling Informer podcast, the cameras have already been rolling for weeks as the second season covers the road to SummerSlam 2025. Bhatti confirmed that WWE never paused filming after Season 1, and the only thing that couldve stopped it was Netflix pulling the plug which hasnt happened.
One major incident already caught on film involves Gunther during SummerSlam weekend. WWE had reportedly planned for the Intercontinental Champion to blade his nose in connection to a real sinus surgery but the moment didnt play out as expected.
Bhatti claimed that Gunthers decision to switch up the plan mid-show left commentators and those backstage in gorilla position confused something that may be addressed in the series when it airs.
Another storyline thats already been filmed is a Total Divas-style episode focusing on WWE couples. Bhatti revealed the episode will feature Montez Ford & Bianca Belair, Naomi & Jimmy Uso, and Ludwig Kaiser & Tiffany Stratton.
WWE even reportedly brought Kaiser back on TV under his Grand Americano persona in part to justify his inclusion in the episode.
And thats not all. Bhatti also confirmed that the Seth Rollins fake injury angle which stirred up speculation across the wrestling world is already a central storyline being filmed for Season 2.
Season 2 of Unreal doesnt have an official premiere date yet, but with so much already in the can and WWE continuing to shoot more fans should expect a wild ride when the episodes finally drop.
What do you think of Gunther going off-script and the personal lives of WWE stars being turned into reality TV content? Should WWE be filming this kind of drama, or are they going too far? Let us know in the comments.
