The Serb prevailed over Hubert Hurkacz after over three hours to become the third player in the Open era with 100 ATP titles after Jimmy Connors and Roger Federer.

Novak gained confidence ahead of Roland Garros and notched another Major semi-final, the first as the 38-year-old. The 24-time Major winner bested Alexander Zverev in the quarter-final, avenging the Melbourne defeat.

He fought well against world no. 1 Jannik Sinner in the semi-final after pushing the world's best player to the limits. Djokovic embraced another deep run at Wimbledon while seeking his eighth title at the All England Club.

Novak passed Alex de Minaur and Flavio Cobolli for his third straight Major semi-final. However, the veteran fell and injured his left hip on a match point against the Italian.

The injury prevented him from competing at 10% in another clash with Sinner. The Italian dominated the opening two sets before turning the tables in the third to emerge at the top and beat Novak for the fifth straight time.

Needing a break, Djokovic withdrew from Toronto and Cincinnati before starting preparations for the US Open.
