HOOKs return to All Elite Wrestling isnt just a one-off comeback hes in it for the long haul.
During the August 13 episode of AEW Dynamite, fans saw a video package teasing the return of the former FTW Champion, but behind the scenes, sources confirm that HOOK has already re-signed with AEW and is secured for years to come.
According to Fightful Select, HOOK has plenty of time left on his deal, meaning AEW has him locked in well beyond his in-ring return. This update comes after months away from television, with his last appearance at Double or Nothing in the chaotic Anarchy in the Arena match alongside Swerve Strickland, Kenny Omega, Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata.
In June, HOOK revealed the reason for his absence, explaining he was recovering from a concussion but assuring fans his return wasnt far off.
With his contract secured and his comeback already in motion, the question now shifts to how AEW will use him. Whether its rekindling old rivalries, chasing another FTW Championship run, or stepping into new storylines entirely, HOOKs future is set to be an ongoing part of AEW programming.
Do you think Hook signing in with AEW for long-term was best for business or should he had made the WWE NXT move? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
