John Cenas retirement tour is slowly reaching its end with around four months left. While WWE hasnt locked down the date for his final match, it appears they are considering changing the date for the bout just so that they can compete with AEW.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that WWE is considering changing the date of John Cenas final match so it would take place on December 27, the same day as AEW Worlds End.

Alvarez explained that the original plan was for the match to happen in early December at Saturday Nights Main Event, but there is now a discussion about moving it. The idea would be to run the match head-to-head with AEW Worlds End.

This comes after we had previously reported that WWE still had not finalized John Cenas retirement tour. Its also no surprise WWE might just go head-to-head with Worlds End since WWE has already done several shows against AEW and will do even more now. Therefore, well have to see if WWE decides to pit Cenas final match against AEW in the end.
