According to Programming Insider, NXT averaged 728,000 viewers on the USA Network, down from the 740,000 it attracted on August 5, marking a 1.6% decrease in total viewership.
In the P1849 demographic, NXT scored a 0.17 rating, up slightly from the previous weeks 0.16. The show also delivered a 0.45 household rating with a 2 share, translating to between 560,000 and 572,000 households. Among adults aged 2554, the show posted a 0.23 rating with a 3 share, up from last weeks 0.21.

The August 12th edition of NXT saw a huge 8-man tag team match as DarkStatefaced off against Oba Femi, TNA World Champion Trick Williams, The Young OG JeVon Evans and TNAs Moose. In the end, Williams left Evans to get pinned and then Hank & Tank came out to brawl with DarkState, as the show came to a close.
Joe Hendry also successfully defeated Charlie Dempsey in their singles match. This and many other moments took place throughout the night.
