Roman Reigns may have been crushed by three Tsunamis from Bronson Reed on WWE RAW, but the real reason behind his exit isnt what was initially claimed and once again, Dave Meltzer is being called out for false reporting.

Earlier this week, Meltzer confidently claimed on Wrestling Observer Radio that the brutal segment was designed to write Reigns off TV so he could begin filming the upcoming Street Fighter movie.

He also added that filming was starting imminently and that Reigns would be joined by Cody Rhodes and Hirooki Goto on set.

But now, PWInsider has shut all that down hard. According to their report, the Street Fighter movie doesnt even begin production until September, and Reigns isnt required on set until September 2nd.

That means Reigns is still free to appear on WWE programming for at least a few more weeks, should WWE creative decide to use him. PWInsider also noted that Cody Rhodes will be involved in the project but wont be needed nearly as long as Reigns.

So while Mondays RAW may have looked like a storyline exit, theres still time for the Tribal Chief to stir up more chaos before the cameras roll in September. And once again, fans are left wondering why some outlets rush to conclusions without the facts.

Do you think WWE should keep Roman Reigns on TV until September or let him rest before filming? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
