John Cena isnt rattled by Brock Lesnars shocking return at SummerSlam in fact, he saw it coming. Days after Lesnar laid him out with an F5 to close out the massive event, Cena finally broke his silence on what fans can expect moving forward.
While speaking to Adams Apple, Cena addressed the chaos Lesnar caused at the end of SummerSlam and the possibility of another collision between the two legends. The 16-time world champion kept it real, explaining that he doesnt call the shots in WWE he just plays his part.
Cena acknowledged that the crowd at SummerSlam seemed to realize the clock is ticking on his in-ring career. While hes planning to wrap things up by the end of the year, he emphasized that WWEs story wont stop with him.
Its no secret that Cena wanted Lesnar to be part of his final run, and Triple H has even admitted Lesnar was on Cenas personal wishlist for his retirement tour. Now that the Beast has returned, the road is likely leading to a massive showdown between the two at Clash in Paris later this month.
John Cena has made it clear hes going out on his own terms, but fans may not be ready to say goodbye just yet.
