SummerSlam Saturday included a ton of big moments. However, the two-night event was only half-way over.
AJ Styles has been trying to get his hands on the IC Title and Dominik Mysterio for a while now. At this point, Mysterio has been doing more running in recent memory than wrestling as he milked an injury status. The time finally came for AJ to get his hands on Dirty Dom at MetLife Stadium for SummerSlam Sunday.
Dominik Mysterio broke out a new mask during his entrance. Then AJ Styles came out in a low-rider and made his way to the ring with a Styles Heat t-shirt on to play some major mind games on Dominik.
This match saw AJ Styles take Dominik Mysterio to the woodshed with a flurry of moves. Dom ate a highlight reel from Styles before he finally got his knees up as Styles went for a dive.
After a good match, AJ Styles got Dominik in a calf crusher. Then his boot came off, and Styles took a shot and a frog splash for a loss. Afterward, Dominik celebrated as he left MetLife Stadium.
We will keep a close eye on the IC Title picture. It is still an important championship, and whoever holds it certainly has the companys favor.
