WWEs purchase of AAA is already shaking things up behind the scenes, and according to Konnan, some talent might not survive the transition.
Speaking on Keepin It 100, the AAA booker addressed rumors that WWE has started making internal budget cuts within the Mexican promotion. He confirmed that the company is in an evaluation phase and hinted that roster cuts are very possible once that process is complete.
Konnan said WWE is currently reviewing everything theyve acquired with AAA, and decisions about the roster will come after theyve had time to assess.
This comes as AAA prepares to open a WWE-aligned Performance Center in Mexico next year, signaling a new era for the promotion. WWE has also shifted its approach to signing talent for AAA since the acquisition, focusing on a different recruitment strategy.
Do you think WWE should overhaul the AAA roster after the acquisition, or should they keep most of the talent in place? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
