Carlos Alcaraz suggests he is working on pushing the tennis authorities to make some changes to the tennis schedule so players could have at least a bit more vacation time.

Top ATP and WTA players complaining about the tennis schedule and calendar isn't anything new. On the men's side, Alcaraz has been one of the biggest names to speak out against the hectic calendar. Daniil Medvedev is also known as a major critic of the issue, while world No. 4 Taylor Fritz recently slammed the calendar as "insane."

In women's tennis, Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina have publicly criticized the calendar and schedule numerous times, with the Kazakh even warning the WTA once that more big names could pull an Ashleigh Barty and retire at a very young age.

Overall, the majority of players agree that certain changes need to be made.

Were trying to change the schedule a bit, seeing if they can remove more tournaments so we can have more rest time, more vacation time. Its not easy, but were trying," Alcaraz told the Financial Times.

Alcaraz likes going to Ibiza to relax

Although he finds the calendar as too demanding, Alcaraz still finds time to go Ibiza to from time to time, even during the season. Most recently, he went to the popular Spanish island to celebrate his astonishing French Open final win over Jannik Sinner. The 22-year-old also went to Ibiza after some of his past French Open and Wimbledon runs, as well as during the offseason.

After returning from his latest Ibiza trip, Alcaraz said Ibiza serves him as a place where he goes to mentally recharge.

Its kind of the middle of the season, so after the clay season, I think it is really, really intense, so after Roland Garros it is the best moment to go anywhere. My friends are going to Ibiza every year so I go to Ibiza as well. It doesnt matter the place we go, it is time to refresh physically, mentally and go back to the grass season as good as I can," Alcaraz said in June.
