The July 31 episode of AEW Collision saw the brand give fans a little bit more before August rolled around. That also included adding a big title match to Forbidden Door.
Athena had a guaranteed title shot thanks to her Casino Battle Royal win. Now we know when she will cash in her opportunity, and she wont have to wait long.
This week on AEW Collision, Athena cut a promo backstage. Toni Storm was the subject of her aggression, as the ROH Womens Champion made it clear that she wants a title match against Timeless Toni Storm. Although Athena could cash in her contract for a match at any time, much like Money in the Bank, she set her match in stone far ahead of time instead.
Athena announced that she will face Toni Storm at Forbidden Door for the AEW Womens World Title. We will have to see how Storm answers to this news.
