WWEs massive setup for SummerSlam 2025 hit a snag just days before showtimethanks to rough weather wreaking havoc on construction efforts inside MetLife Stadium.

According to Fightful Select, severe weather in the New York/New Jersey area has led to travel delays and cancellations, which have impacted WWEs crew schedule. The chaos stretched into the stadium itself, where the SummerSlam set was actively being built.

Flood warnings were issued during the early afternoon on July 31, and by 2:15 PM ET, construction was officially shut down and all personnel were removed from the field. A shelter-in-place protocol was initiated as conditions worsened.

There has reportedly been a hold-up in constructing the WWE SummerSlam set due to these weather-related setbacks. However, despite the temporary shutdown, WWE sources indicated theres no concern about the setup being completed on time for the two-night Premium Live Event taking place August 2 and 3.
