Cody Rhodes is one of WWEs biggest stars and many fans expect him to have a ton of input in his creative direction. As it turns out, Rhodes has finally confirmed just how much input he really has.

While speaking to WFAN, Cody Rhodes was asked how much creative input he has in his own storylines in WWE, and he explained that the company has been very supportive.

Rhodes mentioned that people like Triple H, Nick Khan, and The Rock understand his background in the business and know he has his own ideas about what direction his character should take.

However, Cody Rhodes said that one of the biggest advantages of being back in WWE is being able to rely on others. He admitted that he had spent so much time managing everything himself, but now he trusts the team to guide him. He compared it to football where he might be the quarterback of WWE, but its the coaches calling the plays and he has to believe in them.

The American Nightmare pointed to WWE Unreal, where fans get to see the influence of people like Michael Hayes and Paul Heyman, people he considers to be creative minds far beyond his own. He said they have more experience and knowledge and hes not afraid to ask them where theyre going with a storyline.

While he believes hes earned the right to make last-minute changes if needed, he rarely does because he wants to see if the teams ideas work out. Rhodes added that when the ideas do hit, hes curious to know where they came from.

Whether it was something Michael Hayes picked up from working with Kerry Von Erich, something Paul Heyman took from the Dangerous Alliance, or something Triple H tried during his own career. He genuinely wants to learn from them. In his experience, nine times out of ten, the team is right, because theyve succeeded at the highest level of the business.

This kind of humility is also exactly why Cody Rhodes doesnt really consider himself the face of WWE either. Nonetheless, Rhodes is clearly the quarterback of WWE and him learning from the best is exactly why hes at the top of the company, which isnt going to change anytime soon.
