Cody Rhodes isnt ruling out a heel turnbut hes warning fans that it wouldnt be your typical switch to the dark side.
During his appearance on First Take Rhodes addressed the idea after Stephen A. Smith brought up the recent storyline heel turn of John Cena and asked whether fans could expect something similar from the Undisputed WWE Champion.
Rhodes didnt shy away from the topic, but he made it clear that his idea of going heel would be extreme and almost self-sabotaging.
His offbeat answer got laughs from both Molly Qerim and Stephen A., with Molly calling him hilarious. Cody leaned into the joke, but he ultimately kept it grounded and honest.
Rhodes remains one of WWEs most universally cheered stars, and while a heel turn would shake things up, his latest remarks suggest it would be more performance art than traditional wrestling villainy.
