CM Punk has been seen as a model employee since returning to WWE in 2023 and now hes revealed how it feels when WWE writers want him to win big matches.
While speaking to Allenownz Wrasslin, CM Punk was asked how it felt knowing that during big WWE events, everyone behind the scenes always wanted him to win. The writers kept saying they wanted to make him look strong. He was asked what it means to be trusted so much by everyone at this point in his career.
CM Punk said being trusted by everyone around him means a lot. From the outside, it might seem like hes just winning all the time, but he believes wrestling is about more than just wins and losses. At this point in his career, he thinks the most important thing is telling good stories and showing how to bounce back from hard times.
The Second City Saint talked about how he tore his tricep not long after coming back. For a few minutes, he felt really bad and thought it was the worst thing that had ever happened to him. But instead of giving up, he decided to turn that bad moment into something good; something that helped him grow.
Punk said that this is the way he leads others. He takes his hard experiences and uses them to help younger wrestlers. When they go through their first big injury, he talks to them and tells them its not the end. They trust what he says because theyve seen him go through it himself and come back even stronger.
The Second City Saint is clearly thriving in WWE right now and with him set to challenge GUNTHER for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam, its clear the company has a very high opinion of him and thats not going to change anytime soon.
