Abyss has been working behind the scenes in WWE for several years, and he has now explained why he chose to join the company in the first place.
While speaking on the Getting Over podcast, Abyss revealed that when WWE offered him a job as a producer, it was an easy choice. He knew his wrestling career was over, so instead of continuing to wrestle, he decided to work behind the scenes. He said it changed his life.
Even though hes not in the ring anymore, he now helps the wrestlers and the whole roster reach their goals, which makes him just as happy as performing in matches did.
Abyss said that being a WWE producer isnt easy, but its a good kind of challenge. Every day brings something new. When he first started, he thought he knew a lot, but over the past seven years, hes learned so much more.
Abyss learned from smart and experienced people backstage like Michael Hayes, Triple H, Bruce Prichard, and others. They helped him become better at his job. His years of wrestling experience, combined with what hes learned as a producer, now help him do a great job helping todays wrestlers.
It is also to be noted that Abyss has absolutelymade it clear he has no plans of stepping back inside the squared circle ever againsince he is more than content in his role as a WWE producer. Naturally, fans wouldnt have it any other way either since Abyss has been doing great in the role and thats not going to change.
