WWE has yet to officially announce which matches will headline each night of SummerSlam 2025, but Peacock may have let the cat out of the bag. New promotional artwork uploaded to the streaming platform appears to reveal the planned main events for both nights of the two-night spectacle.
The updated Night One banner showcases CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, while the Night Two graphic features John Cena and Cody Rhodes. WWE is known for using its biggest matches in promotional material, and this latest move strongly suggests which bouts are slotted to close out each night.
WWE is bringing SummerSlam to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey for back-to-back nights of action. Night One kicks off on Saturday, August 2 at 6 PM ET / 3 PM PT with a lineup thats already locked in:
CM Punk challenges GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship in a long-awaited match thats been building tension for weeks. Randy Orton teams with Jelly Roll to battle Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul in whats expected to be a chaotic tag encounter. Roman Reigns joins forces with Jey Uso to face Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in a showdown of powerhouses.
On the womens side, Tiffany Stratton defends her championship against Jade Cargill in a first-time clash. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez will put their tag titles on the line against Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. Sami Zayn goes one-on-one with Karrion Kross to round out the Saturday card.

Night Two hits on Sunday, August 3 at 6 PM ET / 3 PM PT, with the promotional focus shifting to John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes. Cena is defending his title in a bout that could finally give Rhodes the moment hes been chasing for years.
Other matches confirmed for Sunday include Becky Lynch defending her championship against Lyra Valkyria, and Naomi putting her title on the line in a triple threat against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley. Dominik Mysterio faces off against AJ Styles in a rare singles match, and Solo Sikoa will go head-to-head with Jacob Fatu in a clash with major Bloodline stakes.

While WWE hasnt confirmed what match will close each night, the new Peacock banners strongly suggest that Punk vs. GUNTHER is set for Saturdays main event and Cena vs. Rhodes will headline Sunday. If accurate, this would be a major moment in CM Punks career and another chapter in John Cenas storied run.
