AEW officially announced that WrestleDream 2025 is coming to St. Louis on Saturday, October 18 at the Chaifetz Arena. The company broke the news on July 21 with a post on social media hyping up the citys first WrestleDream event.
Premium seating early access launched July 22, general presale followed on July 24, and public ticket sales opened July 28 at 10 AM local time. But now, theres a fresh update that raises some eyebrows about the companys expectations this year.
According to a July 28 report from WrestleTix, AEWs initial seating setup at Chaifetz Arena is noticeably smaller than last years WrestleDream setup. In 2024, AEW packed out the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle with a much larger capacity. This years configuration in St. Louis tells a different storyat least for now.
WrestleTix provided the first count for AEWs setup and the numbers are already drawing attention. Available Tickets: 1,499. Current Setup: 3,812. Tickets Distributed: 2,313.
By comparison, AEWs Dynasty pay-per-view at the same venue earlier this year was also set up for 6,619 seats. So far, AEW appears to be aiming lower this time aroundsuggesting the company isnt expecting a larger turnout unless demand picks up closer to showtime.
Its worth noting this could still change. AEW has been known to expand sections and release more tickets if interest surges in the weeks leading up to an event. But as it stands now, the setup implies AEW isnt banking on breaking last years attendance record.
AEW has yet to announce any matches for the card, but given how past WrestleDream events have delivered with big names and surprise showdowns, fans will be watching to see how the lineup shakes out.
