AEW Collision on July 26 ended with a surprise challenge that turned the TNT Championship picture on its head.
After Dustin Rhodes successfully defended his TNT Title against Lee Moriarty, the celebration was short-lived. Kyle Fletcher made his way to the ring and issued a direct challenge to Rhodes, frustrated that others were getting shots before him.
Fletcher told Rhodes that he needs a one-on-one shot and made it clear he wasnt going to sit by and watch others get opportunities while he waited.
Dustin Rhodes didnt hesitate. In response to Fletchers demand, Rhodes agreed to the match and announced that it will take place on next weeks special Thursday episode of AEW Collision. And it wont be a regular matchRhodes declared it will be a Chicago Street Fight.
The TNT Title bout is now locked in, giving next weeks Collision episode a major hook. Fletcher will have to back up his words in one of the most unforgiving match types AEW has to offer, and hell be doing it on Rhodes terms.
