Apollo Crews remains on the shelf after suffering a torn pectoral muscle earlier this year, and fans hoping for a surprise return will have to stay patient.

Crews revealed back in February that he tore his pec during a match on SmackDown in late January and was set to undergo surgery. The injury occurred during his bout with Johnny Gargano on the January 24 episode, where he was noticeably favoring his shoulder and chest. At the time, wrestling journalist Bryan Alvarez noted Crews immediately grabbed his shoulder and his pec and did not let go for the entire match and rushed to the back once it ended.

After months of silence, a new update has surfaced. During Fightful Selects Q&A podcast, it was confirmed that Crews is still listed as injured internally in WWE. Hes said to be doing well in rehab and continuing his recovery following the surgery.

The road to recovery for a torn pec is a long one, with many wrestlers sidelined for several months depending on severity and physical rehab. WWE has yet to issue any official word on when Crews might be cleared for action, but insiders say hes putting in the work.

Crews previously shared a positive mindset going into the ordeal. When announcing the injury, he noted that sometimes, you do everything right, but there are just some things beyond your control and promised to tackle rehab with an unstoppable mindset.

Now all eyes are on his progress as he works toward a comebackwhether thats in time for a late 2025 return or looking ahead to 2026.
