Eric Bischoff has now revealed his status for this weeks episode of SmackDown, which will pay Tribute to Hulk Hogan after his passing.
Easy E took to Twitter and revealed that WWE had invited him to attend their planned tribute to Hulk Hogan on SmackDown. However, he wasnt able to make it to Cleveland in time for the live broadcast on USA Network.
Bischoff said he appreciated the invitation and wished he could be there in person. Even then, he added that he would be there in spirit, just like Hulk, as WWE honors the Hall of Famers legacy.
As previously reported, WWE is bringing in a star-studded lineup of wrestling legends for the special tribute segment. Confirmed names include Gerald Brisco, Brian Blair, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Jimmy Hart, and The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase. Each of these legends had a close connection to Hulk Hogan throughout his career, making their presence at the tribute especially meaningful.
Even though Eric Bischoff wont be able to attend, his message makes it clear how much Hulk Hogan meant to him and the wrestling community. SmackDown will celebrate the life of the Hulkster and Bischoffs absence will obviously be felt in a big way, but fans are looking forward to the show no matter what.
Are you disappointed that Eric Bischoff will not be there for Hulk Hogans tribute segment on SmackDown this week? Sound off in the comments.
