AJ Styles is backstage at tonights episode of WWE SmackDown and its definitely raising questions.
The veteran WWE Superstar, currently part of the RAW brand, was seen at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland ahead of the show. While theres no confirmation that hell appear on-screen, his presence is especially interesting given the shows heavy focus on Hulk Hogans tribute and major SummerSlam build.
Theres no word yet on why Styles is in the building, but its worth noting that tonights SmackDown features some of WWEs top stars and emotional segments, including:
- Randy Orton & Jelly Roll confronting Drew McIntyre & Logan Paul
- WWE Tag Team Championship: The Wyatt Sicks vs. Andrade & Rey Fenix
- Alexa Bliss vs. Roxanne Perez
- Cody Rhodes to appear
- A special tribute to Hulk Hogan, with multiple legends on hand
Styles could be backstage simply to honor Hogan privately, or WWE could be setting something up behind the scenes. Either way, the timing makes his appearance too notable to ignore especially as WWE continues blurring brand lines for key moments. Also confirmed to appear tonight to honor Hogan:
