Travis Scott is officially out of WWE 2K25. The rapper was reportedly set to be a surprise playable character in the games downloadable contentuntil things fell apart behind the scenes.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Scott had a full falling out with WWE, leading to his complete removal from the games DLC lineup. He was replaced by a fictional character named El Grande Americano in one pack and by returning star Aleister Black in the WrestleMania-themed pack.
The fallout comes after Scotts involvement at WrestleMania 41, where he played a key role in helping John Cena win the Undisputed WWE Championship. That storyline has since been scrapped, and WWE appears to be distancing itself entirely from the rapper.
The Observer also reported that its now open season to knock him internally, which lines up with Drew McIntyres recent comments. On the Impaulsive podcast, McIntyre didnt hold back, calling Scott a piece of sht* over the chaos that unfolded during the WrestleMania match.
While WWE has often brought celebrities into their video games to attract crossover attention, many longtime fans werent thrilled with the idea. Feedback reportedly showed that players would rather have more actual wrestlers on the roster than celebrity guests.
Behind the scenes, it was also noted that Scott struggled during his early training sessions. Sources said he wasnt a quick learner when preparing for an in-ring debutyet another reason his WWE chapter may have quietly ended.
With Scott out of both the game and storyline plans, it looks like WWE is closing the book on this short-lived partnership.
