Kyrie Irving has shared his side of the story on what really went down during their rocky run with the Brooklyn Nets.
Durant reflected on the failed experiment during an appearance on the Mind the Game podcast with LeBron James and Steve Nash recently.
I think we didnt get the full Steve Nash like I wanted.@KDTrey5 explains why Brooklyn didnt workout the way it shouldve and more on Part 2 of a new episode. Watch on our YouTube, @PrimeVideo or listen wherever you get your podcasts https://t.co/n2swVHpna1 pic.twitter.com/Xl5Ne4MsAt

Then just this week, Irving took to Twitch to share his side of the story off the back of Durants comments.
I wish that we got a chance to get to know them beforehand because they wasnt f***ing with me like that Kenny Atkinson wasnt f***ing with me like that, Kyrie said. The Nets didnt want me like that. They wanted KD.
He also said he was blindsided by the James Harden trade and made it clear that Ben Simmons, who came in return, didnt pan out due to his back issues. Despite the drama, Irving insists theres no bad blood.
It wasnt perfect, but I can honestly say I took a chance on winning a championship with my best friend, Irving said. We had an incredible time. I can honestly take accountability for my actions and say that I wasnt always in the best space mentally, spiritually, physically, emotionally So, let me get that disclaimer out Ive played with a lot of great players, but playing with KD, that was OD. Hes one of the best of all time. Obviously we all have our strengths and weaknesses Im doing my thing. Hes doing his thing. Lets leave it there.
