WWE originally had entirely different plans for Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed the original plans for Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam. The two were originally supposed to face each other in a match. However, because their team has been doing well, WWE decided not to rush the breakup.
The situation is being compared to the storyline between Randy Orton and Matt Riddle, which was only supposed to last a few weeks but ended up going for about a year. Its unclear if Charlotte and Alexas partnership will last that long, but the initial idea was for them to team up briefly and then quickly start a feud. For now, that plan has been delayed.
Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez are set to defend the WWE Womens Tag Team Titles against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event. Therefore, well have to wait and see if Bliss and Flair will end up winning the titles when all is said and done.
Should WWE have gone forward with the Charlotte Flair vs. Alexa Bliss feud, or are you enjoying their run as a tag team? Sound off in the comments.
