Kofi Kingston has now called out Adam Pearce for being insensitive to people who lost their jobs, following his fake WWE exit announcement.
While speaking on Raw Recap, Kofi Kingston talked about his issues with Adam Pearce, specifically targeting Pearces fake WWE exit announcement. He pointed out how disappointing it is to see that kind of person currently in a position of power, especially after seeing Pearces post. Kofi felt the post was completely tone-deaf and insensitive to people who have actually lost their jobs.
Kingston explained that Pearce basically pretended he was fired and turned it into a joke, just to get attention online, chasing clicks and retweets at the expense of others. Kofi also called out Pearce for Rickrolling in the video, stating that it was something that was done 15 years ago.
This comes after Adam Pearce hinted that his time in WWE might have been over, making fans think he was about to announce he had been released. Just as the moment got emotional, the video suddenly cut to Rick Astleys Never Gonna Give You Up, revealing that Pearce had rickrolled everyone.
Many fans will likely agree with what Kofi Kingston had to say as Adam Pearces joke was ultimately insensitive for people who did lose their jobs. Therefore, well have to see if Pearce will issue an apology in the future.
