AJ Styles is officially returning to TNA Wrestling, and it might not be just for nostalgia.

While the wrestling world is celebrating his confirmed appearance at Slammiversary 2025 this Sunday in Elmont, New York, a new report from Dave Meltzer has everyone asking the same question: is Styles gearing up for a TNA match?

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer shed light on where this could all be heading. With WWE and TNAs current working relationship, the door is wide open for something bigger than just a walk down memory lane. According to Meltzer:

Thats rightBound for Glory or future events could very well feature AJ Styles stepping back into the TNA ring. Its a storyline opportunity that has fans foaming at the mouth, especially with current TNA World Champion Trick Williams already teasing a showdown. Mike Santana, also in the Slammiversary main event, has openly said facing Styles would be a dream come true.

The match card for Slammiversary is already packed, with Trick defending his TNA World Title in a triple threat against Santana and Joe Hendry. NXTs Jacy Jayne also goes one-on-one with Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich, where both womens titles will be on the line. But AJ Styles involvementespecially if it sets up a Bound for Glory feudcould steal the spotlight from all of it.

AJ Styles helped build TNA before becoming a global superstar in WWE. Now, with this crossover moment in full effect, fans may be witnessing the start of another chapter in Styles legendary career.
