The cross-brand chaos between WWE and TNA just got even messier.
Just days after TNA stars invaded WWE NXT, the favor was returnedthis time on TNAs turf. During the first hour of the July 17 episode of iMPACT Wrestling, NXT faction Dark State stormed the ring and ambushed The System right after their entrance.
The segment was short but intense. The SystemJDC, Brian Meyers, and Eddie Edwardsbarely had time to soak in the crowd reaction before Dark State appeared and jumped them without hesitation. It was a direct payback for what went down on the July 15 episode of NXT, where TNAs trio interrupted a six-man tag and went toe-to-toe with the NXT roster.
Trick Williams, who still holds the TNA World Title, was left watching from outside the ring during the NXT beatdown and didnt look thrilled. Now, with Dark State dragging this battle into TNAs own arena, the line between the brands is vanishing fast.
Neither company has addressed the situation officially, but one thing is clearthis isnt a one-time stunt. With both sides now throwing punches on each others shows, a full-scale war between NXT and TNA could be right around the corner.
