Goldberg already had his WWE retirement match against GUNTHER at Saturday Nights Main Event, but Jim Ross believes the WWE Hall of Famer isnt done as a wrestler just yet.

While speaking on Grilling JR, Jim Ross made it clear he doesnt think Goldbergs wrestling career is really over, even after his recent retirement match at Saturday Nights Main Event.

Ross said that while hes not sure what it might look like, he believes Goldberg could return if hes booked the right way, kept from wrestling too often and paired with the right opponent. Ross said Goldberg still has star power and is a very unique talent.

Good ol JR explained that the key is smart booking. Goldberg has a specific style that works best for him, and its important to keep him looking like the strong, powerful wrestler fans expect. Ross even said Goldberg was like Brock Lesnar before Lesnar came along.

Ross believes there are still good matchups out there, even in AEW. He mentioned MJF as a great possible opponent, someone who can talk, act like a bad guy, take big bumps, and make Goldberg look good.

From what he saw on Saturday, Jim Ross said it didnt feel like a final farewell. He praised Goldberg for staying in great shape and improving over time. If Goldberg keeps doing short, exciting matches with strong entrances and good storytelling, Ross believes he can still be a big deal in wrestling.

Ross finished by saying hes confident Goldberg isnt done. With the right match and the right opponent, theres still more he can do, and a match with someone like MJF could be really exciting.

Ross closed by saying hes confident Goldberg isnt done yet. With the right opponents and direction, there are still exciting possibilities for whats next, and the idea of Goldberg facing someone like MJF is especially appealing.

This comes after we have previously reported that AEW offered Goldberg a legitimate retirement run before WWE. With the right opponent and only a few matches, Goldberg could still make a big return, especially in AEW. Therefore, well have to wait and see whether Goldberg and AEW could end up reaching some sort of deal.
