Will Ospreay had one of the biggest nights of his AEW run at All In, but it looks like fans will have to wait a bit before seeing him again.
Ospreay teamed with Swerve Strickland to defeat the Young Bucks in a major tag team match that not only ended with their hand raised but also stripped the Bucks of their EVP status. Later in the night, Ospreay appeared again during the main event but was attacked and stretchered out by the Death Riders in a dramatic scene that wasnt just for show.
Behind the scenes, sources indicated via Fightful Select that Ospreay has been dealing with physical wear and tear from his intense schedule and matches. The stretcher angle was used as a way to write him off television.
While AEW hasnt officially confirmed it, those close to the situation believe Ospreay will be taking over a month off to rest and recover, though theres no firm timetable on his return yet.
Will Ospreay might be stepping away for a bit, but dont count him out. After delivering one of the most brutal schedules in pro wrestling, the guys earned a breakand when he comes back, you can bet hell be looking to pick up right where he left off. Whether AEW slows things down or straps the rocket back on, Ospreays next move could be a game-changer.
Do you think this break will help Ospreay come back stronger than ever, or will it slow his momentum in AEW? Let us know what you think in the comments.
