CM Punk and Seth Rollins tore the house down during the January 6th Netflix debut of WWE RAW and now the Second City Saint has addressed complaints his match went over time.

While speaking on My Moms Basement, the host Robbie Fox brought up to CM Punk how during his match against Seth Rollins on the first episode of Raws Netflix debut, there was a lot of backstage chaos because they went over time, which will be mentioned in WWE: Unreal.

Fox said Punk and Seth Rollins got a lot of heat for it, and mentioned how Abyss was yelling at the monitors and apologizing to Bruce Prichard, saying he was sorry for everything running long.

CM Punk asked if they were mad at him and said he thought he had hit his time for the Netflix main event. He explained that since it was the first show on Netflix, everyone seemed way too relaxed, almost like they thought they could just go three or four hours because it was streaming. But that wasnt the case since they had to remind people to stick to their times.

Punk said that keeping the show to the right length is really important to him. He doesnt want to do anything for three hours, not even watch his favorite movie since theres always stuff you can cut to tighten things up. He felt like two hours, maybe up to two hours and thirty minutes, is the perfect length.

The Second City Saint honestly believed they finished on time. He remembered Bruce Prichard asking him to make sure they were done by a certain point and he promised it wouldnt be a problem. Punk even said he cut a ton of material from the match to make sure they got out when they were supposed to.

The match is still being talked about not just for its in-ring quality, but also for how its portrayed in the upcoming WWE series WWE: Unreal, which is expected to give an in-depth look at all the chaos that happened backstage. Regardless, the match was a success and thats all that matters in the end.
