
WWE isnt wasting any time getting the action started tonight.
Just hours ahead of the July 15 episode of WWE NXT, the company confirmed that NXT Womens Champion Jacy Jayne will officially kick off the show. Jayne retained her title at WWE Evolution and is now set to open tonights broadcast live on The CW Network.
The announcement was made via WWE NXTs official Twitter account, which featured a graphic of Jayne holding the NXT Womens Championship with the caption:
Jayne has quickly become one of the most dominant women in NXT and isnt slowing down after Evolution. While her exact plans for the opening segment havent been confirmed, all eyes will be on the champion as she addresses whats nextand who might be stepping up to challenge her.
This news comes just after WWE also confirmed a match between Karmen Petrovic and WWE Evolve Womens Champion Kali Armstrong, following a backstage verbal confrontation that aired earlier today.
Confirmed matches for WWE NXT includes:
- Tony DAngelo vs. Channing Stacks Lorenzo vs. Luca Crusifino in a triple threat match
- Trick Williams, Joe Hendry & Mike Santana vs. DarkState in six-man tag action
- Karmen Petrovic vs. Kali Armstrong,
WWE NXT goes live at 8 PM ET from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida, on The CW. Fans outside the U.S. can stream the show internationally via Netflix.
