WWE Evolution is officially in the books, and internal reaction is nothing short of glowing.
According to multiple sources via Fightful Select, WWE officials and talent alike left the event extremely satisfied.
One higher-up in WWE didnt hold back when summing up the show, saying the women on the show were put in a position to overdeliverand thats exactly what they did. Every match, they noted, delivered far beyond expectations, with particular praise going to the IC Title and World Title matches.
The producing team behind Evolution also saw some last-minute additions. In addition to previously reported names, Molly Holly stepped in to help produce Naomi vs. Jade Cargill. That bout turned out to be one of the nights standout performances, and its no surprise Naomis backstage reputation played a role. One source stated Naomi has been receiving a ton of praise for her heel run this year and remains widely adored behind the scenes.
Talent from the womens roster also spoke positively about the show. While some noted they wished they would get more of a build, they still embraced the challenge of filling in the gaps with storytelling on social media. That creative freedom, one wrestler said, ended up being fun.
The atmosphere backstage was described as positive and upbeat, with everyone from production staff to performers enjoying the energy of the night. Evolution may have come together quickly, but by the end of it, WWE had another success to brag about.
