WWE SmackDown went off the air with chaosbut the night was far from over inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Fans who stuck around were treated to two hard-hitting dark matches, including a brutal showdown featuring the World Heavyweight Champion himself, Gunther.
After the July 11, 2025 SmackDowns main event saw Jimmy Uso and LA Knight defeat Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo in a wild tag match, things escalated with surprise run-ins and massive spots. Bron Breakker speared LA Knight out of nowhere, and Bronson Reed capped it all off with a crushing Tsunami. But even with the cameras off, WWE kept the action going.
The first dark match of the night featured Sheamus taking on Ludwig Kaiser. The Celtic Warrior got the crowd fired up, cracking jokes about El Grande Americano and even singing happy birthday to a fan before celebrating his win.
Then came the main post-show showdownGunther vs. Jey Uso in an extreme rules-style brawl. The fight included kendo sticks, tables, and a brutal beatdown from The Ring General. Gunther ended up getting the win, but he wasnt done yet.
After the bell, Gunther kept attacking Jey Uso until Cody Rhodes ran out to even the odds. Rhodes and Jey then double-teamed the champion, finally sending Gunther crashing through a table to send fans home happy. Rhodes grabbed the mic for a short promo, closing out an electric night in Nashville.
