The July 7 episode of WWE RAW went down in the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island. They did a lot to hype this weekends big shows, including GUNTHER versus Goldberg.
GUNTHER is set to put his WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Goldberg during Saturday Nights Main Event this weekend. Fans in Providence were treated to a short promo from the Ring General, but then he was joined by the WWE Hall of Famer.
Goldberg came out, first arriving backstage in a car. Then GOLDBERG chants were heard in the area, but nobody that they showed on screen was chanting. This was an obvious instance of WWE piping in Goldberg chants, which theyve done in the past.
WWE Saturday Nights Main Event will go down on July 11 in Atlanta, Georgia. This will be Goldbergs Last Ride, but GUNTHER is determined not to make it an easy one.
We will have to see what kind of reception Goldberg receives at the big event, but WWE will likely have chants in the can just in case they need to break out the piped-in response.
