WWE SummerSlam 2025 will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on August 2nd and 3rd. This is the first two-night SummerSlam event in WWE history. It will also host another chance for WWE to link up with a well-known comedian.
WWE faced immediate backlash after promoting a new Late Night comedy show following SummerSlam Saturday staring Kill Tony star Tony Hinchcliffe. The announcement drew criticism from several fans, who expressed their uncensored viewpoints.
Many fans were not having this comedy show, as one even expressed pitty for anyone who goes. A few of them brought up how WWE didnt learn anything from the WrestleMania show, which apparently didnt go too well. Others offered brief but direct responses, such as no thanks, we dont care, and absolutely not.
Some fans defended the promotion, stating that viewers could choose to ignore the show. A few pointed out that while the concept received negative attention, it still managed to sell tickets. Other users appeared indifferent, questioning why such content sparked any reaction at all.
We will have to see how many people show up to WWE and Tony Hinchcliffes upcoming event. Fans online were certainly not shy about making their voices heard, and Tony is very familiar with that kind of thing at this point.
