Brock Lesnars WWE future has been one of the hottest topics in wrestling this year and one veteran believes it might all blow over eventually, depending on what comes next. But theres no ignoring the legal storm Lesnars name is caught up in, and thats a major reason why hes not on TV right now.
During a recent appearance on Inside the Ropes, Eugene weighed in on Lesnars situation, after the interviewer described him as being in a tough spot with WWE. Eugene compared Lesnars predicament to past scandals involving Hulk Hogan, saying time could help fans move on unless more damaging information comes out.
Eugene stressed that it all depends on whether new details emerge, saying:
Of course, theres a lot more to the story. Lesnars name has been heavily linked to the ongoing Janel Grant lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. That lawsuit rocked the company earlier this year and has been a major factor in WWEs internal shakeups.
Grants lawsuit alleges that she was ordered to send sexually explicit content of herself to Lesnar at Vince McMahons request. While Lesnar isnt being sued or formally accused of wrongdoing, his name being tied to the case caused immediate fallout including his planned WrestleMania storyline with GUNTHER being scrapped.
WWE sources have confirmed to Ringside News that Lesnar wont be returning to television until the lawsuit is resolved. With both sides preparing to fight the case to the bitter end, a comeback for The Beast Incarnate doesnt appear to be in the cards anytime soon.
