WWE will be releasing WWE: Unreal, which is a 10-episode seriesthat will delve deep into the creative process of the company and how they write storylines. Jake Roberts recently criticized the show for damaging the business but now Ryback has come to the shows defense.
The Big Guy took to Twitter and said he believes WWE: Unreal is one of the best things to happen to wrestling and wrestlers. He described wrestling as physical acting and called it the hardest job in the world. Everyone plays a role and it takes the whole roster to make it work.
Ryback said there are no real winners or losers, and he thinks it is time for fans and wrestling media to stop the hate and see it for what it truly is. He compared it to movies where actors are given roles, sometimes laid out in detail and other times decided week by week, and no one criticizes them for playing a bad guy or having small parts. It takes every person involved to bring the show together, and wrestling is ultimately one huge production.
This comes after Jake Roberts slammed WWE: Unreal for damaging the business as he stated that no amount of money will ever warrant the harm it will end up doing to the industry.
The show will be releasing on July 29th and its still unclear how it will change how people see wrestling. In the end, pro wrestling is a special mix of sports, stories, and entertainment and Ryback definitely believes WWE: Unreal will show that perfectly.
