A wild debate broke out online this week over AEWs Mike Bailey, and whether the alleged 150-pound star could legitimately take out WWE powerhouse Bobby Lashley in a real fight and surprisingly, some wrestlers are backing that idea.
It all started when JobberNationTV threw shade at a recent AEW Dynamite segment where Lashley was seen selling offense for Bailey.
Why is Lashley selling like this for a 51 150lbs dude?! JobberNation posted, alongside a video clip of the spot that kicked off the discussion.
That criticism caught the attention of The Bad Boy Joey Janela, who didnt hesitate to shut down the skeptics.
Because Mike Bailey is a fourth-degree black belt and would have a real shot in beating Bobby Lashley in a real fight if he kicked him in the jaw Janela fired back.
ROH star Cheeseburger, also stepped in with his own brutally honest take on Baileys skills.
Speedball could legitimately kill 90% of people in pro wrestling and likely 100% of people that complain about wrestling on the internet. Thankfully hes a nice guy.
While the idea of Bailey knocking out a former MMA fighter and muscle-bound WWE star like Lashley might sound insane to some fans, Baileys real-life combat sports background adds some serious weight to the debate. A fourth-degree black belt with years of striking experience isnt exactly your average underdog, even if he doesnt look like a heavyweight.
Whether this argument stays online or bleeds into a storyline, one things for sure fans have no problem debating fantasy fights, especially when it involves someone like Speedball standing across from The All Mighty.
