
AEW recorded the July 5th episode of AEW Collision from the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California on July 2nd. The action-packed night delivered some solid matchups, and here are the spoiler results.
Adam Cole started the show by celebrating 100 episodes on TNT as the TNT Champion. He said he would keep the title through 2025. Kyle Fletcher came out and reminded Cole that he lost to him on the All In 2023 pre-show. Fletcher then challenged Cole to a TNT Title match at All In.
Daniel Garcia interrupted and said he needed the TNT Title back. Cole told Garcia he could have a shot anytime, but that he had beaten Garcia before and would beat him again. Cole then told Fletcher he had already beaten him as well. Cole decided to make it a three-way match at All In Texas.
They argued, and Garcia joked, Who hasnt beat Danny Garcia. Garcia then said his match with Fletcher later that night would be for a shot at the TNT Title at All In.
Kevin Knight beat Shelton Benjamin and Nick Wayne in a three-way match. Knight pinned Benjamin to win.
FTR defeated the Outrunners.
Mistico, Hologram, and Mark Briscoe beat Hechicero, Rocky Romero, and Trent Beretta. Mistico made Romero tap out. After the match, MJF and MVP appeared on the screen and talked about the Casino Gauntlet. Mistico enjoyed the crowds cheers, and Tony Khan came out to clap for him.
Max Caster came out for his Best Wrestler Alive five-minute open challenge. A video played showing Scorpio Sky, who now had a team with Top Flight and Christopher Daniels. Sky then came out to accept the challenge and defeated Caster in only 55 seconds.
Willow Nightingale beat Vipress in a quick match.
Athena, Thekla, Megan Bayne, and Julia Hart beat Thunder Rosa, Queen Aminata, Anna Jay, and Tay Melo in an eight-woman tag. Bayne got the win with a running powerbomb on Anna Jay.
Kyle Fletcher defeated Daniel Garcia to earn a TNT Title shot at All In Texas. Adam Cole did commentary for this match. Fletcher won with a brainbuster. This concluded the tapings.
