The Great American Bash just got a whole lot more interesting.

Inamura pulled off a major win on NXT, defeating WWE LFG Season One winner Troy to secure a shot at the NXT Championship on July 12. The victory puts Inamura right in the title picture and sends a message to the rest of the roster.

Troy, who was looking to redeem himself after coming up short in his first NXT Title opportunity three weeks ago, tried to take control of the match early. Inamura, meanwhile, came in desperate to bounce back after a rough few weeks for him and his tag partner Josh Briggs who himself failed to dethrone Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship last week.

Troy did everything he could to dominate, slowing the pace and wearing Inamura down with multiple pin attempts, but Inamura wouldnt stay down. Commentary leaned heavily on his Fighting Spirit as he kept battling back, refusing to give up.

At one point, Inamura sent Troy crashing into the ring post before firing off a series of forearms. Troy managed to halt the momentum temporarily, slamming Inamura to the mat and going for a standing Frog Splash. But Inamura got the knees up just in time.

The opening was all he needed. Inamura followed up with a Frog Splash of his own, scoring the pinfall victory and punching his ticket to Great American Bash.

Inamura now challenges Oba Femi for the NXT Championship on July 12 and after this performance, its clear hes ready for the fight.

Are you rooting for Inamura to take the NXT Title? Or do you think Oba Femi will crush his momentum? Drop your predictions in the comments below.
