CM Punk is never afraid of speaking his mind, especially when it comes to political matters. Thats why it comes as no surprise that he took part in protests opposing the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centers upcoming cuts to gender-affirming care.

The Second City Saint took to his Instagram and uploaded a photo at Pittsburgh, revealing that he attended a protest going against the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centers upcoming cuts to gender-affirming care. The Second City Saint simply said, Lets go Pittsburgh!

The protest drew hundreds of participants and was organized in response to UPMCs decision to halt gender-affirming treatments for patients under the age of 19. This policy is set to take effect on June 30th and thats why many people are protesting against it.

Punk, who often supports LGBTQ+ rights, joined hundreds of people to protest this change. Many think UPMCs new rule will harm transgender teens by taking away the healthcare they need. By being there, CM Punk helped more people notice the issue and showed that he stands with the transgender community.
