WWE Evolution 2 just got even bigger. The company is wasting no time stacking the all-womens premium live eventand now a huge Battle Royal is officially part of the card.
Cory Hayes of Bodyslam.net broke the news that WWE plans to feature a Battle Royal at Evolution 2, with the winner earning a spot on the Clash in Paris event later this year. Hayes took to Twitter to confirm the news, writing that #WWEEvolution is set to feature a Battle Royal. The winner heads to Clash in Paris.
This comes as WWE scrambles to reshape the womens division after Liv Morgans injury left creative plans in ruins. Morgan, who suffered a dislocated shoulder during her June 16 RAW match with Kairi Sane, was originally at the center of several summer storylinesincluding the tag team division, where she held the Womens Tag Team Titles with Raquel Rodriguez.
Since then, WWE has moved quickly to fill the void. Roxanne Perez is set to replace Morgan as Raquels new partner, with the two expected to defend the Womens Tag Team Championships at Evolution 2 in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match. The names of the other two teams havent been revealed yet.
With a Battle Royal all but officially confirmedand a guaranteed Clash in Paris opportunity up for grabsits clear WWE wants Evolution 2 to feel like a must-see show. The event, which had been delayed following Morgans injury, is now fully back on track with major title matches and big stakes already locked in.
