It looks like Drew McIntyres absence from WWE TV isnt ending anytime soon.

During the latest WrestleVotes Q&A on WrestleBinge, it was confirmed that there are currently no plans for McIntyres return, leaving the former WWE Champion on the sidelines for the foreseeable future.

McIntyre has been off WWE programming since his brutal steel cage match against Damian Priest at Saturday Nights Main Event on May 24. The match ended with Priest delivering a sickening Con-Chair-To before casually walking out the cage, leaving McIntyre motionless in the ring.

While there was early speculation that McIntyres time away could be linked to a Hollywood project, thats not the case. His absence is strictly due to injury and personal time away from the grind of WWE.

In an interview with Jay Reddick of the Orlando Sentinel, McIntyre pulled back the curtain on just how banged up hes been.

McIntyre added that pushing through pain is nothing new for himbut this time, hes listening to his body.

With WWEs product noticeably missing a top-tier player like McIntyre, fans are hopeful hell be back sooner rather than laterbut as of now, it doesnt look like that return is happening anytime soon.
