Pat McAfee has finally addressed all the hate over his absence from WWE RAWand lets just say, hes not losing sleep over the trolls.
After weeks of silence, McAfee explained on The Pat McAfee Show that hes been stepping away from RAW to recharge, citing exhaustion after nonstop work. But that didnt stop the internet from lighting him up, with some fans celebrating that hes gone and hoping he stays that way.
The former NFL star took to Twitter to hit back, mocking the harsh reactions with a bit of his trademark sarcasm.
The response comes after fans on X (formerly Twitter) unleashed a barrage of comments trashing McAfee and making it clear they dont miss him on commentary.
One fan wrote, Please stop asking and he might go away. Trust us @PatMcAfeeShow no one cares that you are gone. In fact we are enjoying it.
Another chimed in with, Hope he takes as long as he needs. Then maybe a bit more after that. Forever.
It didnt stop there. One post read, Were exhausted from his commentary. He can take all the time he needs. Another added, Were also pretty exhausted when he is on commentary.
And one fan skipped the subtlety entirely, tweeting, Wah wah bitch, dont come back you shithead.
While McAfee has stayed active with his daily show, Wade Barrett and Corey Graves have filled in on RAW commentary duties. McAfee didnt hint at any issues with WWEjust pure burnout from the nonstop schedule.
For now, it looks like the charismatic announcer is focused on life outside the ring. No official word yet on when hell return to WWE full-time.
