The drama is already heating up on WWE LFG: Legends & Future Greats Season 2and now, fans finally know exactly how this years competition is going to play out.
During the premiere episode on June 22, 2025, A&E and WWE laid out the official rules for the season, and its clear the stakes couldnt be higher.
The 16 hopefuls, known as the Future Greats, have been split into teams of four, each coached by a WWE legend. That includes The Undertaker, Booker T, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Michelle McCool, who replaces Mickie James from Season 1. The rules breakdown is simple but brutal:
The Future Greats will be broken into teams of 4, each coached by a WWE Legend. Each week, a legendary coach will be awarded a point if a member of their team is declared a standout. The Legends are competing for bragging rights and the LFG Championship Belt. The Future Greats are all competing for an NXT contract.
That means the coaches arent just there for show. Their prideand the LFG Championship Beltare on the line, while the Future Greats battle for the ultimate prize: a WWE NXT contract.
With less room for error and a fast-paced 60-minute format this season, expect rivalries to explode and alliances to get tested quick. And based on the intensity from returning stars like Harlem Lewis and newcomers like Dani Sekelsky and P-Nasty, it wont take long before emotions boil over.
WWE LFG airs Sundays at 10 PM ET on A&E, with episodes also available on the A&E website and app.
What do you think of the new format and rules? Will The Undertaker, Booker, Bubba, or McCool walk away with bragging rights? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
