AEWs Wardlow is ready to break into Hollywoodand hes got his sights set on Gotham City.
With James Gunns Superman movie just weeks away from hitting theaters, the foundation for Gunns new DC cinematic universe is about to be laid. Gunn has never been shy about working with pro wrestlers, bringing in John Cena for Peacemaker and tapping Dave Bautista for Guardians of the Galaxy.
Now, Wardlow wants inand hes going straight to the source. The AEW powerhouse took to X and made it crystal clear hes ready to suit up as one of DCs most physically intimidating villains.
Wardlow wouldnt be the first wrestler to take on the role of Bane. Fans of Batman & Robin might remember that the late Jeep Swenson, known to wrestling fans as The Ultimate Solution from WCW, played the masked brute in the 1997 filmthough that version of Bane was widely slammed by fans and critics alike.
Whether Gunn will bring Bane into his revamped DC world is still unknown, but Wardlow is clearly ready to follow in Cena and Bautistas footsteps as the next wrestling star to break into the superhero world.
